Noob vs Pirates

This weeks edition of Noob vs is Pirates! Easy enough to boys did not disappoint this time!!!!

Captain Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean) vs Dread Pirate Roberts (Princess Bride)

So who would win... and why?

Dread Pirate Roberts, he's the alter ego of Batman when he was tossed back in time and became a pirate. True story.... Kinda...

In an actual fight, the Dread Pirate Roberts beats a lucky Keith Richards wanna-be everytime.

Though Jack would be more interesting to watch, Westley (Inigo after the movie/book) would most likely spend a good bit of time critiquing his sword work...  not to mention waiting patiently (and very honorably) for Jack to regain his footing after falling yet again over nothing.

As a side note, in case you didn't know it...  Bob Anderson, who was the sword master and choreographer of both The Princess Bride and Pirates of the Caribbean (as well as Highlander and Lord of the Rings) passed away last year.  The man was instrumental in getting well done sword fighting on the big screen, and I'm a little afraid of what we have to look forward to without him around.

Well said. I had a much more eloquent explanation, but it amounted to "he's pirate Batman", so I condensed. Bob Anderson was amazing and truly blessed us with his work. Don't forget he's also the man that gifted us with our first light saber battles and even fought as Vader in the films. Like you, I'm leery to see what the future holds for us.

I believe this is one of the better fights lately. Dread Pirate Roberts vs Jack Sparrow would be an entertaining fight not only with swords, but with just the talking and the back and forth would be fun.

I am not sure how this would work in a movie, how would these two could come to blows, but i'd pay to watch this. Some kind of time traveling pirate, I don't know sounds good to me!

Dr. Who would bring The Dread Pirate Roberts to the present to fight Jack Sparrow because Jack has become a problem for the time lord but he cannot deal with him on his own level so he brings a better pirate for him to face.

Sounds like a movie to me, lets make it happen!
